Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic acupuncture is a natural anti-aging practice that is both gentle and safe. Not only does it help maintain a youthful appearance, it also encourages overall health and well-being.

Cosmetic acupuncture is relatively new to Australia; however, it has been used in China for over 5,000 years to provide facial rejuvenation and effectively help a wide variety of skin-related concerns.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the face and body to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, improving circulation, and promoting a more youthful appearance. Some of the benefits of cosmetic acupuncture include:

  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improves skin tone and texture
  • Increases collagen and elastin production
  • Improves circulation, reducing puffiness and dark circles
  • Relaxes the muscles, reducing the appearance of frown lines and crow’s feet
  • Boosts overall skin health, leading to a more youthful appearance.
  • Reduces dry skin
  • Improves sunken or sagging areas (e.g. double chin)
  • Reduces Acne
  • Reduces Scarring

Cosmetic Acupuncture

How It Works

Cosmetic acupuncture works by stimulating collagen and elastin production in the face, stimulating muscle motor points and increasing circulation. Results vary from person to person, depending on overall health and the body’s ability to respond to stimulation.

Cosmetic acupuncture is completely safe and relatively painless. There is no downtime associated with cosmetic acupuncture, so you can fit sessions within your normal schedule.

Anti-Aging

Cosmetic acupuncture is a natural way to reduce the undesirable effects of aging. It eliminates fine lines and softens deeper wrinkles, improving overall skin tone and colour, lifting sagging skin and plumping sunken areas.

A person’s overall health affects their facial appearance and the progression of aging. Therefore, it is vital that cosmetic acupuncture is always complemented by a healthy lifestyle. Anti-aging acupuncture includes additional needles inserted at important locations around the body, rather than just the face, to encourage overall health and support facial rejuvenation.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a gentle and safe way to reduce the effects of aging and bring a youthful glow to your overall appearance.

Wrinkles

A key benefit of cosmetic acupuncture is wrinkle reduction, which includes the elimination of fine lines and softening of deep wrinkles.

Cosmetic acupuncture involves inserting fine needles (half the thickness of a hair strand) between skin molecules in key areas of the face. This achieves instant increased blood flow, which hydrates the skin and eliminates dryness. The needles also encourage collagen production, which leads to wrinkle reduction and firming of the skin.

After completing the prescribed number of sessions, you will have noticeably healthier-looking skin, reduced wrinkles and a more youthful appearance.

Double chin

Cosmetic acupuncture is one of the safest ways to achieve a natural facelift and maintain a healthy, youthful glow.

Acupuncture for sagging or sunken areas focuses on muscle motor points to strengthen key muscles. This leads to a gentle lifting of sagging areas, including the chin area, and will noticeably reduce the appearance of a double chin.

This method is also used to improve the appearance of drooping eyelids and sagging jowls.

Generally, an Acupuncturist or practitioner uses a sterile needle only once while treating so it’s 100% safe. In the hands of licensed practitioners, acupuncture is pain-free and effective for many acute conditions.

Do the needles hurt?

The fear of needles is always there in the mind of people. Acupuncture needles are very thin and while inserting most people feel an intense sensation, but they won’t experience much pain like inserting intramuscular injections.

What are the advantages of acupuncture?

Acupuncture does not involve medications and it’s popularly known as drugless therapy. Even if a person is new to Acupuncture and he/she is under medications that would be also tapered down gradually over time.

How often do I need to come in for treatment?

This depends on the condition being treated, but some conditions can be treated in one to four sessions. People with chronic conditions may require regular treatment. It is a good idea to get an estimate at the start of the treatment if possible.
